LAMAR- The family will conduct a Celebration of Life service on Sunday, Oct. 14, 1 p.m., at Cedar Meadows Event Center in Joplin, for Oliver Henry “Bill” Breuninger, 79, Lamar, who died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018, at Freeman West in Joplin, after a short illness. Family and friends are welcome to attend.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Four State Cremation.

Survivors include his wife of over 61 years, Rosalie E. “Rosie” Breuninger; daughter, Tammy Ann Myers and husband Tom, Joplin; sons, Oliver Breuninger and Frankie Pairagan, Kalama, Wash., Terry Ray Breuninger and Kelly Bacon, Lake Tahoe, Calif.; brothers, Richard Breuninger and wife Betty, Green Bay, Wisc., Frank Breuninger and wife Mary Ann, Manitowoc, Wisc.; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Arsene Breuninger.

Mr. Breuninger was born Dec. 17, 1938, in Green Bay, Wisc., to Arsene Orville and Gertrude “Toots” (Reiner) Breuninger. He grew up in Green Bay and married Rosalie Hansen in 1957. He worked for Dick Brothers bakery in Manitowoc, Wisc.

He decided to travel and work all over the United States with his wife and three children, cleaning cars to support his wife and family and show his family what life was like. He moved to California, where he managed Nu-Glo Car Wash for several years and then he and his wife managed Fullerton Car Wash. He also traveled the United States as an auto-detailer and other trades, where he and his family worked for many high profile names. At one time, he managed several motels in Alabama and Florida. He still continued to travel after all his children left home, doing crafts and campground hosting.

He moved to Southwest Missouri in 1998 to be closer to his daughter after he and his wife suffered a horrific wreck. He was of the Catholic faith.
