JERICO SPRINGS- Services will be held at 10 a.m, Tuesday, at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar, for Paula Arlene Clawson, 65, Jerico Springs, who died Friday, Oct. 5, 2018, at her home, after a lengthy illness. Burial will be at Newport Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Monday evening, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the funeral home.

Contributions are suggested to the Stoney Point Church, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Clawson; three children, Angie Morgan and husband Jason, Lamar, Scott Clawson and wife Jesse, Pennsboro and Amy McMilllin and husband AJ, Republic; grandchildren, Jade and wife Jenny and Lauren Morgan, Lamar; Gatlyn, Gracyn and Sawyer Clawson, Pennsboro and Madison, Drew and Devon McMillin, Republic; her mother, Betty Wallen, Arcola and siblings Pheobe Hodson and husband Jim, Pleasant Hill, Phillip Wallen and wife Debby, Arcola, Paul Wallen and wife Rhonda, Arcola, Pamela Grider and husband Greg, Greeenfield and Patsy Hembree and husband Joe, Arcola.

She was preceded in death by her father, Norban Wallen and a nephew, Greg Wallen.

Mrs. Clawson was born a twin on March 24, 1953, in Tracy, Calif., to Norman and Betty (Crabtree) Wallen. In 1965 she moved with her family to Arcola, where her parents started a dairy farm. She attended Greenfield schools, graduating with the class of 1971. She attended Stoney Point Church, where she met the love of her life, Kenneth Leon Clawson, at 14 years old. They were wed on July 9, 1971, and together they had the three children.

She was a homemaker. Because of her love for children, she babysat for many of the neighborhood kids over the years, as her health would allow. She enjoyed cooking, collecting cookbooks and kitchen gadgets. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with all of her immediate and extended family, including eight grandchildren whom she adored.
