Lamar Democrat/Melissa Little Members of the Lamar youth volleyball team that were present at the October 4 volleyball game against Seneca posed in front of one of the trophy cases in the LHS commons.

The SW Select basketball team ended their season by winning the Kansas State Championship with a record of 21-1 in three tournaments, plus Kansas State. Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger A total of $3600 was raised at the car and jeep show held Saturday, April 13, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Lamar Christian Church Parking lot, with proceeds to benefit the new Barco Drive-In screen tower. Pictured are, left to right, Lamar Bank & Trust President Pat O’Neal, Barco Drive-In Theatre fundraiser director Landin Myers and representing the Plaza/Barco and Lamar Community Betterment, Scott Kelley. Anyone wishing to donate can do so at the bank, or drop it by the Plaza Theatre on the south side of the square.
