REBEKAH ANN BACKS

LAMAR- Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Daniel Funeral Home for Rebekah “Becky” Ann Backs, 70, Lamar, who died Monday, Oct. 22, 2018, in Lamar. Burial will be in Lake Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Contributions are suggested to the White Field Ministries (JLMH), in care of the funeral home.

Survivor include three sons, Shawn Maberry and wife Leslie, Nathan Maberry and wife Beckie and Jordan Maberry and wife Elie, all of Lamar; two sisters, Peggy Roberts and husband, Richard “Dick”, Spring Hill, Tenn. and Cathy Backs, Lockwood; a sister-in-law, Sandy Backs, Lenexa, Kan.; six grandchildren, Lauren, Landon, Addison, Dylan, Grace and Remington and one great-grandson, Rigdon, all of Lamar.

She was preceded in death by both her parents and a brother, Ted Backs.

Mrs. Backs was born June 2, 1948, in Lockwood, to Theodore “Murphy” Backs and Grace (Gilmore) Backs. She was a 1966 graduate of Lockwood High School. She married Alan Maberry and together they had three sons and later divorced after 43 years of marriage.

She was the owner and operator of Denim and Lace for over 30 years and most recently was a Home Health Aide with Oxford HealthCare. She was a member of Milford Christian Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
