Mrs. Cheshire was born Feb. 23, 1929, in Aberdeen, Miss., to Thomas Peter and Helena Mae Jayne Adams. As a young lady she moved to Houston, Texas and became a secretary. She met and married her one and only love, Clifton Clyde Cheshire. They married May 7, 1951, had five children and eventually moved to a farm in the rural Lamar area. After her husband’s early death she moved to Lamar and worked as a florist. She enjoyed her yard, a good conversation, a fun game and drink of real southern ice tea. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all.
