GOLDEN CITY- Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Daniel Funeral Home for Lourena Faye Baldwin, 76, Golden City, who died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2018, at Cox Barton County Hospital. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Golden City.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.

Contributions are suggested to Barton-Dade-Jasper County Co-Op, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include three sons, Kevin Baldwin, Vandalia, Charlie Baldwin, Golden City and Robin Baldwin and wife Cheryl, Lamar; one daughter, Nikki Hancock and husband Mark, Milo; two sisters, Wanda Willis, Golden City and Carol Scott and husband Bill, Jasper; a brother-in-law, Gene Fanning; grandchildren, Bradley Baldwin and wife Florenda, Luke Baldwin, Caleb Baldwin, Olivia Baldwin, Zac Baldwin and wife Chloe, Hailey Braker and husband Brandon and Madison Baldwin and great-grandchildren, Logan, Brecklyn, Barrett and Lynleigh.

She was preceded in death by a brother, James Brasher; a sister, Eugenia Fanning and a daughter-in-law, Arlene Baldwin.

Mrs. Baldwin was born July 19, 1942, in Kirkland, Wash., to Charles Mitchell and Doris Hope (Kirkpatrick) Brasher. She was a 1960 Golden City High School graduate. She was a past member of the Golden City Assembly of God Church.

Mrs. Baldwin had worked as a paraprofessional for Barton-Dade-Jasper County Co-Op for many years. After retiring she worked at Lamar Walmart and Casey’s General Store in Golden City. She loved doing genealogy and keeping up with her children’s and grandchildren’s school sporting events and activities. She also enjoyed reading, planting flowers and was known as a “great cook”.

She married Jim Baldwin on Aug. 6, 1960, in Golden City. He preceded her in death.
