BONNIE VANKIRK

LIBERAL- Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Christian Church of Liberal for Bonnie Irene VanKirk, 74, Liberal, who died Friday, Dec. 28, 2018, at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, Kan. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar.

Survivors include two brothers, David VanKirk, Liberal and Jimmy VanKirk and wife Julia, Mulberry, Kan.; five sisters, Beverly Fleharty, Fort Scott, Kan., Jean Taylor, Pittsburg, Kan., Judy McManis and husband Bill, Pittsburg, Kan., Donna Cobler, Liberal and Dixie Hayes, Owasso, Okla., as well as many nieces and nephews and a large extended family.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Jack VanKirk and two infant sisters, Rebecca and Dorothy VanKirk.

Mrs. VanKirk was born Jan. 23, 1944, in Liberal, to Arthur McClellan and Marjorie Maxine (Coffey) VanKirk. She attended school in Liberal and was a member of Liberal Christian Church. She enjoyed helping rear and spoiling her nieces and nephews.
