GOLDEN CITY- Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Daniel Funeral Home for Richard Levi Stump, 87, Golden City, who died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019, at Good Shepherd Nursing Center in Lockwood. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Golden City.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Geraldine Stump; three sons, Richard Leon Stump and wife Lori, Dennis Stump and wife Tina and Roy Stump and wife Shannon; brothers, Clarence Stump and wife Leota, Jasper, Delbert Stump and wife Laurie, Golden City and Chester Stump and wife Mildred, Camarillo, Calif.; sisters-in-law, Ann Stump, Rosemont, Calif., Geneva Leach, Lee’s Summit and Glenda Palmer, Eldon; grandchildren, Rustan and Lance Stump, Cody Roller, Isabelle Stump, Sarah Wilson, Braden Stump, Dallas Stump, Cameron and Jesse Menadue and Arlo and Adam Stump and great-grandchildren, Zoe and Wyatt Stump, Rebecca Stump and Josie and Carter Wilson.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Gayle Stump; two granddaughters, Rebecca Stump and Kelly Jo Stump and a brother, Lester Stump.

Mr. Stump was born June 14, 1931, in Dudenville, to Levi and Gladys (Harper) Stump. He was a 1951 Golden City High School graduate and he married Geraldine Fay Divine on Feb. 5, 1953.

He had worked for Lawn Boy in Lamar, King Press in Joplin and had a fertilizer supply business for 28 years, drove a school bus for seven years and operated a Grade A Dairy Farm for several years.

He was a charter member of the Golden City Lions Club, a member of Golden City First Baptist Church and loved to fish and hunt.
