JASPER- Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Weng Funeral Home for Louise Elizabeth Ott, 89, Jasper, who died Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Paradise Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Weng Funeral Chapel.

Survivors include one son, Raymond Richard Ott, Carthage; one daughter, Sara Payne, Olathe, Kan.; one brother, Leighton “Bud” Straw; one sister, Esther Archer; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, George Straw and Albert Straw; one sister, Francis; a son, Ryan James Ott and two great-grandchildren, Tyler Grant Everitt and Stephanie Dawn Shank.

Mrs. Ott was born March 11, 1929, in Pipestone, Minn., to Leighton and Mary (Pugh) Straw. She had worked as a housekeeper at Carthage Water and Electric Company and cleaned several businesses and homes in the area. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Carthage.

She married Raymond Ott on June 4, 1950, at Carthage. He died March 8, 2002.
