LAMAR- Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church for LaVeda Blanche Wilson, 79, Lamar, who died Friday, March 22, 2019, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin. Burial will be at Lake Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.

Contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include two sons, Donald Wilson and wife Joann, Lamar and Kenneth Wilson, Nevada, Mo.; a daughter, Jeannette Eaves and husband Dana, Jefferson City; one sister, Bonnie Wessler, St. Peters and two grandchildren, Hannah Eaves, Springfield and Samuel Wilson, Lamar.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Wilson; a son, Ronald Wilson; four brothers, Wilbur Wessler, Charles Wessler, Merlyn Wessler and Lee Wessler, who died on March 16, 2019 and one sister, Ramona Wessler.

Mrs. Wilson was born May 19, 1939, in Shickley, Neb., to Henry John and Laura Rosine Remona (Holtzen) Wessler. She was a 1957 graduate of Lamar High School. She married Fred Willis Wilson on Aug. 8, 1958, in Lamar.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting and knitting, along with tending to her flower garden and hosting family gatherings, but the true joy in her life were her two grandchildren. She was also an active member of Grace Lutheran Church for over 60 years.
