LAMAR- Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Daniel Funeral Home for Arlene May (Stewart) Marti, 92, Lamar, who died Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at St. Luke’s Nursing Center in Carthage. Burial will follow in the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery in Lamar.

Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m.

Contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include two sons, Wayne Marti and wife Debbie, Carthage and Ken Marti, Lamar; two daughters, Lu Fanning, Lamar and Connie Lehman and husband Jerald, Lamar; a twin sister, Corrine Marti; several nieces and nephews, some even adopted her and called her “Mom”; her grandchildren, Brian Marti and wife Sharon, Shannon Marti, Kenya Addington and husband Josh, Jennifer Marti, Matthew Fanning and wife Michelle, Kyla Marshall and husband Dale, Michael Fanning and wife Meghan, Candace Marti, Jessica Marti, Brandon Marti and wife Molly, Brandon Lehman and wife Brittanii and Kelsey Parker and husband Brandon and 30 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Stan Marti and one sister, Catherine Davis.

Mrs. Marti was born March 15, 1927, in Lamar, to Oscar and Marie (Peeler) Stewart. She was a Golden City High School graduate. She married Harold Dean Marti on Sept. 24, 1948, and together they reared five children. She was a school teacher, secretary, waitress at the Blue Top, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother “Gigi” and a devoted christian.
