LAMAR- Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Daniel Funeral Home for Donald Lee Moss, 90, Lamar, who died Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at his home in Lamar. Burial will follow in Morehead Cemetery.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to Morehead Cemetery, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include a son, Darrell Moss and wife Cheri, Lamar; three daughters, Linda Bishop and husband Leon, Lockwood, Karen Gioia and husband Hank, Kansas City, Mo. and Earline Hart and husband Vern, Mulberry, Kan.; 11 grandchildren, Kent Bishop and wife Kristen, Jared Bishop and wife Lela, Tara Williams and husband Phil, Jon Bishop and wife Ali, Jenna Folbre and husband Paul, Chelsea Dighero and husband Justin, Terry Green and husband Chuck, Jill Willoughby, Justin Hart and wife Liz, Jeff Horton and Tiffany Bowden and husband James and 26 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Moss was born April 5, 1929, in Belton, to Dorrel Porter and Mable Pauline (Morris) Moss. After graduating from high school he served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He attended what is now Pittsburg State University for three years and received certification in the electrical trades. On March 8, 1956, he married Mildred L. Whitchurch in Lamar.

He worked in maintenance at Castelgate Inc. in Pittsburg, Kan., as well as other manufacturing facilities. He had also worked at Lawn Boy in Lamar and was part of the Barton County Bass Masters and also enjoyed hunting.
