EDNA DELORIS GAGE

LAMAR- Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lake Cemetery for Edna Deloris “Dee” Gage, 87, Lamar, who died Thursday, July 11, 2019, at Truman Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to Barton County Senior Center, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Davis, Lamar and a daughter in Texas; two grandchildren, Cody Davis and Sophia Davis; a half sister in Cumberland, MD; a cousin in Utah, Eugene Crossland and a cousin in Florida.

Mrs. Gage was born March 1, 1932, in Cumberland, MD to Franklin William and Anna Belle (Crossland) Sherwood. She married Donald William Gage on Dec. 21, 1971, in Lamar.

She had owned and operated a clothing and shoe store in Joplin and she and her husband ran Gage Real Estate Agency. She was very active for years in the VFW Auxiliary, was a water color artist, enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens, loved to cook and play the piano. When she was young she moved around a lot because her father was in the US Air Force. She was also very athletic and loved to figure skate when she was younger.
