STOCKTON- Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bland-Brumback Funeral Home for Elton Don Maslen, 67, Stockton, who died Sunday, July 14, 2019, in Big Springs Care Center, Humansville, after battling liver and kidney disease. Burial will follow in the Stockton Cemetery.

Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 9 a.m.

Survivors include two brothers, Johnny Maslen and wife Nahwana, Missouri and Forest Maslen, Louisiana; two sisters, Thelma Goddard, Arizona and Geneva Newton and husband Larry, Texas; his two children and their spouses; his two stepchildren and their spouses; eight grandchildren; four sister-in-laws, Patricia Goodwin, Tennessee, Cheryl Goodwin and husband Terry, Alabama, Sherry Griffith and husband Mark, Missouri and Carla Papenfuhs, Missouri; six brother-in-laws, David Pyle and wife Lynn, Craig Pyle, Jeff Pyle and wife Lynn, Kerry Pyle and wife Margie, Kelly Cossin and wife Emily and Mike Campbell, all of Missouri and over 100 nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his siblings, James Maslen, Pauline Weir, George Maslen, Tommy Maslen, Novella Fitzpatrick, Irene Stephens; a sister-in-law, Brenda Campbell and brother-in-laws, Dickie Pyle and Tommy Goodin.

He married Jackie Farmer in 1974. To this union two children, Jimmie Jack and Misti Dawn, were born. He worked Haulbeins Farms for many years and enjoyed farming.

He decided to have a career change and began working at O’Sullivan Industries in Lamar, where he made many longtime friends. This is where he met and fell in love with his wife, Dorothy. They married in November of 1992. Combined they had four children and spouses, Jimmie and Jennifer Maslen, Jamestown, Misti and Cory Reynolds, Jamestown and Jerry and Amber Fidler and Joey and Mary Fidler, Stockton. He was known to some as “Poppy” throughout the years. He enjoyed his eight grandchildren, Austin Maslen and Andrew Maslen, Jamestown, Alyssa Reynolds and Gage Reynolds, Jamestown, Hayden Fidler and Corbyn Fidler, Stockton and Izabella Graves and Hudson Fidler, Stockton.

He was a loving brother, father, uncle, grandfather and friend. He has touched the lives of many people over the years and will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.
