NOTICE OF DELINQUENT TAX SALE

The following is a publication of lots and lands in Barton County, Missouri, upon which tax sale certificates may be offered for sale on the fourth Monday of August (August 26, 2019) at ten o'clock (10:00) a.m. CDST during a public auction to discharge the lien for the delinquent and unpaid taxes as provided for in Chapter 140 Revised Statutes of Missouri (RSMO). The sale will take place at the center of the 1st floor hallway in Barton County Courthouse, 1004 Gulf, Lamar, Missouri. Anyone wanting to bid on property must check in at the Collector's office by 9:30 AM. To be able to bid, all persons need to have a valid ID with them, be a resident of Missouri (or appoint a county resident, who meets the qualifications, to act as their agent), and have no delinquent property taxes due (bidders are required to sign an affidavit attesting to that).

The amounts shown as due for each year represent the total amount of taxes, late payment penalty, interest, fees (including costs of the sale) and miscellaneous assessments which are delinquent and unpaid. The total amount for each property will be the starting bid for that Real Estate. The tax sale certificate will be issued covering said lands and lots after payment of bid, by cash or cashier's check, has been made to discharge the total taxes, penalty, interest, assessments and costs which are charged against said lands and lots on the records in my office at the time of sale.
