Landon Maberry, right, and Jeremy Fowler, left, tied with a score of 71 at the First Annual J-Dawg Open Championship, held September 7. Following sudden death, Maberry came out on top with a birdie on the hole and was crowned champion.

The SW Select basketball team ended their season by winning the Kansas State Championship with a record of 21-1 in three tournaments, plus Kansas State. Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger A total of $3600 was raised at the car and jeep show held Saturday, April 13, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Lamar Christian Church Parking lot, with proceeds to benefit the new Barco Drive-In screen tower.
