The Tigers were able to recover the fumble and take it down for a touchdown as Lamar demolished the Bowling Green Bobcats. Senior receiver No. 3 Chase Querry hauls in this pass from Alex Wilkerson to score a touchdown in the Tigers 41-7 victory over Cassville in conference action. The Tigers will host Hollister on Friday evening in the final Big 8 West contest before returning to the Big 8 next year. Five members, Marshfield, Logan-Rogersville, Reeds Spring, Hollister and Springfield Catholic will be leaving the Big 8 for new conferences, leaving nine members in the Big 8. Nevada, along with former Big 8 members Lamar, Seneca, East Newton, Monett, Aurora, Mt. Vernon, Cassville and McDonald County will form the new Big 8 to give each team eight conference games. Each team will have one open date to play a team from out of conference. Tigers are victorious in conference action

The Class 3, No. 3 rated Seneca Indians came into Lamar and upended the Class 2, No.1 rated Tigers by a score of 28-14. The Indians improved to 4-0, while the Tigers dropped to 3-1 overall. Sophomore quarterback No. 16 Trent Torbeck hands the ball to No. 12 junior Carson Sturgell for good yardage in the Tigers 40-7 victory over Big 8 West opponent Monett Cubs. Filling in for injured Alex Wilkerson, Torbeck did a good job in his first varsity start, running for about 130 yards. The Tigers will host Seneca Friday evening in a game that could decide the Big 8 West championship. The Tigers are rated No. 1 in Class 2, while the Indians are rated No. 3 in Class 3. Both teams are 3-0, with Seneca holding their three opponents scoreless. Come out to Thomas M. O'Sullivan Stadium and cheer the Tigers on to victory. Tigers are victorious over Big 8 West opponent
