Lamar High School Class of 1959 holds 60th reunion

The Lamar High School Class of 1959 held its 60th class reunion on Saturday, Oct. 5, at The Emporium, for dinner and breakfast the next morning. The class enjoyed a great weekend of visiting and good food. They especially enjoyed the atmosphere of the 50’s at The Emporium, with the featured pictures and memorabilia. Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger The Lamar Elks Lodge No. 2800 recently donated $1,000 to the Famous Missouri Veterans Monument, to be erected at the Barton County Memorial Park, located on the corner of 2nd and Gulf, in Lamar. The monument will recognize veterans that made a significant difference while serving in the armed services.
