LAMAR- Services will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Daniel Funeral Home for Patricia “Pat” May Blanchard, 63, Lamar, who died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2019, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin. Mike Gage will officiate. Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lake Cemetery.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Shriner’s Children Hospital, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Kerry Blanchard; two sons, Josh Blanchard and wife Amanda, and Kenny Blanchard and wife Camille, all of Lamar; two brothers, Lawrence Schmitt and wife Hui Cha, Joplin and Bill Schmitt and wife Brenda, Golden City; five sisters, Carol Dill and husband Jim, Lamar, Mary Ballard, Nevada, Mo., Norma Newsome and husband Jake, Lamar, Lucy Brown, Phoenix, Ariz. and Nancy Hatfield, Lamar and five grandchildren, Auri, Denver, Colo., Shadol, Nevada, Mo., Kayne, Lamar, Malia, Lamar and Amielia, Lamar.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Donna Schmitt in 1963.

Mrs. Blanchard was born Oct. 4, 1956, in Rolla, to Ralph Lawrence and Carol Faye (Baker) Schmitt. She married Kerry Blanchard on Oct. 4, 1974, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lamar and together they reared two sons.

She had worked in the packing department at O’Sullivan Industries and enjoyed painting crafts, as well as fishing and target practice. She was a member of Lamar First Christian Church.
