Bingo 4 Books draws large attendance

Lamar School’s Annual Title I Bingo 4 Books event took place with at least 300 in attendance. Supper was served and books were the bingo prize, with 200 books being given away. The purpose of this event is to encourage reading to improve literacy. It’s always great to see students so excited to win a book!

Shiloh Wilkinson, daughter of TJ and Melissa Wilkinson, is the sixth grade Lamar Middle School Student of the Week. Shiloh enjoys drawing and reading in her spare time. She plans on playing volleyball or basketball next year. Her favorite subjects are Social Studies and Reading, because both teachers make it a lot of fun while they teach.
