Survivors include her sons, Jon Butler, Stan Butler and Larry Butler; grandsons, Bryan, Zach, Aaron “AJ” and Beau Butler; granddaughters, Katie Bullock and husband Andrew and Sarah Trapani and husband Daniel; great-granddaughter, Abigail Trapani and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clint; her son, Brad; her daughter, Pam; her sisters, Mildred Fowler and Marjorie Darrah and her brothers, Cecil, George, Bev and Hal Norwood.

Mrs. Butler was born Feb. 22, 1931, on a farm near Sheldon, to Lee and Mae Norwood. Following her graduation from Lamar High School, Class of 1949, she married Clint Butler in 1950.

While rearing four active boys and a daughter with Down Syndrome, Mrs. Butler became an expert multitasker. She juggled everyone’s schedules, laundered thousands of loads of smelly athletic gear, cooked a million meals, at all hours of the day or night, chauffeured children to and from activities, applied iodine to countless cuts and invented games for her grandchildren.

And while doing all that, loved her husband for over 60 years.

While her last few months were difficult, many friends, family members and health care providers showed her steadfast love, dedication and compassion.

In her final moments she said, “Thank you so much” to all those who made her 88 year journey a wonderful life.
