Lamar Girls Swim Team starts season opener strong

The Lamar Girls Swim Team competed in the Carthage Relays to kick-off the 2019-2020 season. Ten different teams participated in this swim meet, which was a unique all-relay format. The Lady Tigers took first place in the 200 yard backstroke relay, the 300 yard freestyle relay and the 200 yard freestyle relay. LHS also placed in the top six in their other three races, the 200 yard breaststroke relay, the 200 yard medley relay and the 400 yard freestyle relay. Meghan Watson, Emma Tennal, Haily Born and Kaitlyn Davis also earned State Consideration Times in the 200 yard freestyle relay and the 400 yard freestyle relay.
