JASPER- Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, at Weng Funeral Chapel for Brent Allen Asbell, 61, Jasper, who died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2019, following a short illness.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Rhonda Susan; two daughters, Jennifer Phipps and husband Josh, Lamar and Kiley Burr and husband Andy, Pittsburg, Kan.; one brother, Carroll Asbell and wife Tracy; two sisters, Sally Willard and husband Jeff and Sue Mongold and husband Jim and three grandchildren, Austin Allen Burr, Nova Lee Burr and Korra Lee Phipps.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Asbell was born Oct. 17, 1958, in Carthage, to Tyree Elmer and Patricia Ann Asbell. He was a Carthage High School graduate. He worked at O’Sullivan Industries for 25 years and had worked the last 13 years at Leggett & Platt. He had resided in Jasper for 38 years.
