LINDA HINES

LAMAR- Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Daniel Funeral Home for Linda Deanna Hines, 78, Lamar, who died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020, at Nevada Regional Medical Center in Nevada, Mo. Mike Gage will officiate. Burial will follow in Lake Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time, at the funeral home.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to Barone Alzheimer’s Care Center, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Ken and Karen Hines, Nevada, Mo.; a daughter, Kenda Hines, Nevada, Mo. and one grandson, Ben Hines.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Monty Hines in 2013 and a brother, Bob Wholf.

Mrs. Hines was born Jan. 27, 1941, in Vinita, Okla., to Robert and Danna (Smith) Wholf. She graduated from Vinita High School and on August 12, 1962 she married Monty Richard Hines in Vinita, Okla. She graduated from Pittsburg State University and was an elementary school teacher in Lamar for over 30 years. She was a member of Lamar First Christian Church. She was an avid collector of many things, but her favorite thing to collect was paper dolls.
