GOLDEN CITY- Services will be held held at 11 a.m. Monday at Weng Funeral Chapel in Jasper for Betty Jo Shaw, 83, Golden City, who died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020, at her home. The body will lie in state from 9 a.m. until service time on Monday. Burial will be in Paradise Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Shaw and wife Jamie, Lamar and Johnny Shaw and wife Karen, Golden City; three daughters, Dixie Taylor and husband Bill, Golden City, Goldena Taylor, Golden City and Jerri Day and husband Kevin, Lamar; three sisters, Lorretta Jerome, Myrna Kessler and Billie Sue Taylor; 18 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, John Dimmitt and two sons-in-law, Jeff Day and Carlos Taylor.

Mrs. Shaw was born Dec. 8, 1936, in Everton, to Delbert and Golden (Mallory) Dimmitt. She was a homemaker and had worked at O’Sullivan Industries, Golden Glass and Golden Business Forms. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Golden City.

She married Lyman Shaw on Nov. 22, 1952. He died September 1, 1997.
