Shorty Godfrey turns 99!

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger This very lovely lady, Shorty Godfrey, celebrated her 99th birthday on Tuesday, Jan. 21. Many stopped by during the day to wish her a happy birthday, with colorful flowers and balloons filling up her living room. When asked how many cards she had received, she said she hadn’t counted them yet, but from the looks of it I’d say she got quite a few.
