VIRGINIA BOTTS

LAMAR- Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Daniel Funeral Home for Virginia Angela Botts, 69, Lamar, who died Friday, Jan. 24, 2020, at Cox Barton County Hospital. Pastor Cliff Hazard will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service. There will be a private family burial.

Survivors include a son, Eugene Darrell Springer, Lamar; two brothers, Jerry Springer and wife Sharon, Kalamazoo, Mich. and Les Springer, Mauriceville, Texas and one sister, Mary Ann Stroup and husband Ardon, Elkhart, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Pam Springer.

Mrs. Botts was born Oct. 5, 1950, in Kalamazoo, Mich., to Clarence Martin and Maude Elizabeth (Syx) Springer.

She had worked as a telephone operator at Apache Answering Service in Tyler, Texas, as a caregiver for Oxford Home Healthcare and in the cafe at O’Sullivan Industries, as well as Thorco Industries. She had a love for cats and would often take care of many strays. She was of the Baptist faith.
