NEODESHA, Kan.- No services are planned for Joseph C. McMurray, Sr., 73, Neodesha, who died Sunday, Aug. 2, 2020, at Fredonia Regional Hospital. The body has been cremated.

Survivors include his wife Linda of 17 years; two sons, Jonathan McMurray, state of Georgia and Joseph McMurray Jr., Niotaze; one daughter, Brandy LeGrand, Lamar, Mo.; one brother, Don McMurray, Lamar, Mo. and four sisters, Mettie Schreiweis and Melva Collins, Lamar, Mo., Aldean Simmons, Greenfield, Mo. and Margret Greenwald, state of Iowa and two grandchildren.

Mr. McMurray was born February 19, 1947, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Donald and Ethel L. (Morison) McMurray. He attended school in Golden City, Mo., where he graduated high school. He enlisted in the US Army. In March of 2003 he was united in marriage to Linda L. Brown in Neodesha. They made their home at 1002 Seward Street for the past 17 years. He worked in the oil fields and then worked for Neodesha Plastic for a few years until his retirement.

He loved to ride Harleys and loved his Gold Wing tricycle bike; he loved to take trips on it. He also loved to hunt and fish and loved to junk and he was a collector of old things.
