2020 swim team awards

The 2020 LHS winter sports recognition night was cancelled last spring due to COVID. This past week, Lamar Swim Team Coach Lyman Burr handed out last year’s 2020 end-of-season awards on January 13. Recipients, pictured left to right, are: Most Improved - Haily Born; Spirit & Sportsmanship - Emma Tennal; Tiger Award - Kaitlyn Davis and High Point and MVP - Meghan Watson. Most Improved is determined by the amount of time cut by a swimmer during the season while High Point is calculated by total points earned by a swimmer over the course of the season. The other three awards are voted on by fellow team members. All four award winners were members of the Junior class last season.
