COVID update

According to the Barton County Health Department, COVID numbers began to level off this past week, with Barton County finally falling out of the top list for new cases, as the virus continues its progression across the state.

Administrator Joel Dermott stated, “The trend looks favorable, but things can change quickly.”

The total number of COVID cases to date is 1305, with 34 active and 1253 recovered. At this time there are 18 deaths reported.

The number of new cases over the past seven days is 39.
