LAMAR-A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Daniel Funeral Home for Norman Charles Norm Frock, 76, Lamar, who died Monday evening, April 20, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.

Survivors include two daughters, Lorie Forkner and husband Rod and Penny Robertson and husband Bryan, all of Lamar; three brothers, Albert Frock Jr. and wife Joanne, Peculiar, Walter Frock, Wichita, Kan. and George Frock and wife Sylvia, Tennessee; two sisters, Dorothy Osterloh, Freistatt and Betty Pugh and husband Lowell, Golden City; four grandchildren, Lindsey Hobson and husband Jake, Diamond, Trenton Watson, Jasper, Hailey Rook and husband Kaleb, Lamar and Emmie Robertson, Lamar and three great-grandchildren, Dylan Watson, Samantha Hobson and Rory Rook.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Fred and Chet Frock.

Mr. Frock was born Jan. 20, 1939, in Green County, Ark., to Albert and Bertha (Goedecke) Frock. Moving to Lamar with his family, he graduated from Lamar High School in 1959 and began a 35 year career with Finley Engineering and also served as a volunteer on the Lamar Fire Department for 35 years.

He married Wanda L. Hobbs on April 7, 1962, in Lamar. In addition to their love and devotion to each other, they shared a passion for fishing, camping and traveling the country in their RV. Together they built several homes, always with the doors open wide for family and friends.
