Work has been progressing at the Barton County Memorial Park at a rapid pace these last couple of weeks. On Wednesday, Aug. 17, the last four of the black granite triangular monuments were transported by West Chestnut Monuments to the park to be erected. Also this past week three of the six 20 foot flagpoles were installed and the nine foot red V that was fabricated and powder coated by Washburn’s was erected with help from Stan Rawlings and his crane. Jeff Bauer has also begun work on the Cornerstone Plaza Area. Be sure to stop by the park and see the amazing progress that is being made. The park is located at 2nd and Gulf in Lamar.
