ELNORA P. FAST

LIBERAL- Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Konantz Warden Funeral Home in Lamar for Elnora P. Fast, 88, who died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023. A visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 2 p.m.

Survivors include a son, Ricky Paul Fast and wife Doris, Liberal; a daughter, Thaylia Sue Wheeler, North Richland Hills, Texas; seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Fast) Beem and husband Darin, Nicki Ann (Fast) Walker and husband Jared, Ricky Paul Fast II and wife Andrea, Austin Wheeler, Andrea (Wheeler) Martin and husband Brian, Corey Wheeler and Chelsea Wheeler; five great-granddaughters, Cassidy and husband Tyrus, Coti and husband Dylan and Baylee, Blair, Presley and Ulysses and two step great-grandsons, Vance and Blaine.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Burl Fast.

Mrs. Fast was born Sept. 6, 1934, in Fuller, to Edna (McAfee) and Chester Hudson. She grew up in the Barton County area and attended Liberal school. She married Thayne Fast on Dec. 15, 1951, in Lamar and together they raised three children in a loving Christian home.

She was an excellent cook and would can anything. She was a talented artist. She drew, colored, painted and enjoyed sewing. She was a talented seamstress who made her family’s clothes and sewed for other people. She managed the fabric department at the Lamar Walmart for about five years when Walmart first opened. Mrs. Fast and husband Thayne owned and operated T & E Enterprises in Liberal for many years until they retired. Of all the hats she wore, she was most proud of being a pastor’s wife and homemaker. She was a proud wife and grandmother who was involved in her family’s lives and loved to see them and hear about what they were doing.
