Picnic in the Park has great turnout

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger Many gathered at the Lamar City Park for the annual Picnic in the Park on Thursday, March 23. The event is held the fourth Thursday of every month through October, except for August when the Lamar Free Fair is held. The trucks are at the park from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and offer a huge assortment of foods, from sweets, to barbecue, to Chinese and Mexican food, along with other delectable treats. Their next scheduled event will be Thursday, April 27. Be sure to keep a watch on the Lamar City Park facebook page for the food trucks that will be participating.
