GIRARD, Kan.- Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Cole Camp, Mo., for John Dale Davis, 85, Girard, formerly of Cole Camp, Mo., who died Friday, April 14, 2023, at Medicalodges Fort Scott in Fort Scott. Military honors will be conducted. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren. A potluck meal and sharing of memories will follow at the Oak Hills Coon Club in Cole Camp, Mo.

Survivors include his companion, Reggie Geier and her children, Rhonda Stonerock and Tony, Linda Redden, Lonny Geier and Larry Geier; daughter, Melissa Kay Davis; sons, Michael Davis and Shelly, Mitchell Davis and Milburn Davis and Lisa; brother, Richard Davis; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter; a sister and three brothers.
Mr. Davis was born May 14, 1937, on the farm north of Lincoln, Mo., to Roy Chester and Mary Rose (Maltsburger) Davis.
In the early 1980's, he moved to Joplin, Mo., where he met Reggie Geier and they've been together ever since. He drove a charter bus out of Joplin, Mo., taking people on bus tours throughout the United States. He and Reggie then started Davis Industrial Sales out of Liberal, Mo., selling industrial equipment, which they still owned.
