Twenty-one Lockwood High School graduates crossed the stage to a full house as they participated in graduation exercises at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 14, in the high school gym. The Top 10 students in the class were recognized, along with the customary salutatorian address given by Dylan Snider and the valedictorian address given by Owen Neely. Graduates spread out during the ceremony as they carried a flower to someone that they felt was instrumental in their lives, with many including a big hug as they presented the flower to their loved one. The guest speaker was Lockwood teacher Hayden Rogler and a slide show was held featuring the various graduates from their childhood up. Ben Friend, a classmate that had been killed in a tragic accident in 2017, was featured at the end of the slide show. Adding to the traditional tossing of the caps, the class brought out pump guns that were full of confetti, making for a very festive atmosphere.
