100th birthday celebration held for Louise Caruthers

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger Louise Caruthers celebrated her 100th birthday on Saturday, July 15, at the Lamar First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. There was a colossal turnout of family and friends that enjoyed not only wishing Louise a “Happy Birthday”, but also getting to visit with each other, along with enjoying delicious refreshments and viewing the many quilts that were featured, along with a timeline that dated back to Louise’s birth on July 14, 1923.
