Dorlyne Schorzman is newest centenarian

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger Last year, at Dorlyne Schorzman’s 99th birthday party, the question arose whether or not she would make it one more year to 100. Not only did she accomplish this feat, but she did it in her usual cheerful style. A party, one of four held throughout her birthday week, Dorlyne was recognized by her “second” family at the Barton County Senior Center in Lamar. Not only were several friends present to help Dorlyne celebrate, but members of her family also attended, with a four generation picture being taken. Be sure to watch for the “rest of the story” in the next edition of the Lamar Democrat. And if you see Dorlyne out and about, be sure to wish her a “Happy Birthday”.
