SHELDON-Earl Lee Fisher, 88, Sheldon, died Sunday, April 26, 2015, at the Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark.

Survivors include his daughters, Tonia Wessley and husband Terry, Diamond and Ronda Fisher, Carthage; sisters, Dollie Cook, Irving, Texas and Faye Ray, Olathe, Kan.; brothers, Lawrence Fisher and Charlie Fisher, both of Kansas City; five grandchildren, Jason Warren, Stephanie Bybee, Amanda Hubbard, Brittany Lyell and Megan Foster; 11 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Betty Jean Fisher, who died April 19, 2010; a brother, Rex Fisher; a sister, Dorothy Klipper and a great-grandson, Aaron Warren.

Mr. Fisher was born April 4, 1927, in Mountain View, to Lee Earl and Nellie Merle (Vanvacter) Fisher. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps from July 1945 to August 1946. He was self-employed and known to many as the Mule Skinner. He loved working, breaking and training mules, as well as horses. He was an amazing storyteller and poetry writer.

The memories of Earl Lee Fisher shall live on for many years to come. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed. He is now with Jesus and is reunited with his beautiful and loving wife, Betty Jean.
