The Lamar Lions Club members were kept busy on Saturday, Feb. 10, as they held one of their extremely popular Good Ole’ Fair Breakfasts, with proceeds from the day going to the Barton County Memorial Park’s Famous Missourian project. Lions members, left to right, Darlene Lehman, treasurer; Craig Lehman, past district governor and Dean Westbay, secretary and past district governor, presented a check for $900 to Gordie Godfrey, far left, representing the Barton County Memorial Park. Darlene commented, “Lamar has always come through with support for us (the Lions Club), so we thought we’d help support others”. Be sure to come early for the next breakfast that is scheduled on Saturday, April 27, which is also the weekend for the citywide garage sales. The breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. to 12 noon, at Memorial Hall in Lamar. Come early and get fueled up.
