LAMAR- Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 22, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lamar for Isabel Angela Weber, 84, Lamar, who died Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Truman Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Lamar. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Lamar.

A Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at Daniel Funeral Home, with a visitation to follow from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to St. Mary's Catholic Church, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Weber and wife Angela and Jimmy Weber and wife Kara; one daughter, Angela Mack and husband Clint; eight grandchildren; one brother, Jim Philipps and wife Ann; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Philipps and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome; one brother, Bill Philipps and one sister, Sister Mary Ann Philipps.

Mrs. Weber was born Oct. 12, 1939, in St. Charles, to William August Phillips and Catherine Theresa (Ell) Phillips. She was a 1957 graduate of Duchesne Catholic High School. She married Jerome Joseph Weber on Aug. 13, 1968, in St. Charles.

She worked as a secretary for an insurance agency. She was an avid bowler, a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and a huge St. Louis Cardinal fan. She met her husband at her Dad's farm sale in St. Charles and again a second time at a Catholic dance and the rest was history. In 1973 they moved to Lamar and built a house northwest of town where the landfill is today.
