Arvest Foundation grants $25,000 to CARS

Arvest Bank representatives presented a $25,000 check on behalf of the Arvest Foundation to staff members of Economic Security Corporation to directly benefit the Community Action Ride System (CARS), a free transportation service that will be available to residents of Barton, Jasper, Newton and McDonald counties. The presentation was held Monday, March 25. Pictured speaking to those attending along with members of the press were Ryan Sprinkle, director, ESC SWA and Jacob Fauvergue, commercial lender with Arvest Bank.

Lamar Democrat/Nadine Pattison Picnic in the Park drew several despite the rainy and stormy weather that was experienced throughout the day. Several food trucks were available to offer a wide variety of choices to those stopping by to dine. The junior class at Lamar High School hosted Senior Prom 2024. The event was held Saturday, April 20, 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. at 96 Elite in Oronogo. Prior to the event, family and friends gathered to support their students as they showed off a vide variety of prom wear at the Promenade, held from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the Wyatt Earp Park in Lamar.
