Chamber holds ribbon cutting at Highland Brew

The Barton County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting at the newly opened Highland Brew, located at 208 W. 12th St., in Gem Tree Plaza, Lamar. The ribbon cutting was held during an open house on Thursday, May 16, 12 noon, with a celebration continuing throughout the day. Hot dogs were served to those attending. Highland Brew, co-owned by Cynda Smith and Dixie Breshears, is open Monday through Sunday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and offers not only loaded teas, specialty iced and hot coffee, breakfast and desserts, but they also feature candies, purses, shirts and other miscellaneous novelty items. There is a nice big seating area for those wishing to drop by, try our what they have to offer and just to relax.
