NADINE MEDLIN

RURAL LAMAR-A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Morehead Cemetery for Nadine Mae Medlin, 86, rural Lamar, who died Saturday morning, July 30, 2016, at Freeman West Hospital, surrounded by her family. Pastor Steve Summers will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include four sons, Roy Medlin and wife Sharon, Larry Medlin and wife Lori, Donald Medlin and wife Susan and Jesse Medlin and wife Pam, all of Lamar; eight grandsons, Kevin Medlin, Frontenac, Kan., Roy Medlin, Jr., Lamar, Jeremy Medlin and wife Bernadette, Kansas City, Mo., Shane Medlin and wife Lori, Springfield, Shawn Medlin and wife Julie, St. Peters, Jarrett Medlin and Jacqueline Janus, St. Louis; Braydon Medlin, Overland Park, Kan.; Bradly Keithly, Mindenmines; six granddaughters, Brenda Sewell and husband Rick, Oceola, Jackie Medlin, Liberal, Chasity Sewell and husband Mike, Harrisonville, Lori Roskamp and husband Andy, Lamar, Brooka McCubbin and husband Donny, Pea Ridge, Ark. and Kaylee Medlin, Lamar; 33 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Don Morey, Lamar and a large extended family.
After sharing 62 years of marriage and partnership, her husband preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 2010. She was also preceded by their son, Gary and two brothers, Orvel Morey and Roy Morey.
Mrs. Medlin was born Aug. 20, 1929, in Barton County, east of Lamar, to Floyd and Edna (Mead) Morey. After graduating from Lamar High School she married her high school sweetheart, True Jarrett Medlin and together they farmed and reared their family of five sons, Gary, Roy, Larry, Donald and Jesse. Always displaying a strong work ethic and Christian values, her life revolved around family, with her favorite role being that of devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an active and faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church as long as her health permitted.
