Lamar Democrat/Richard Cooper
The Lamar City Council examined the hangars at Municipal Airport prior to their regular meeting, August 15. There was general agreement that the 12 oldest hangars should be demolished and replaced with new structures. Several of them are still in use. Examining one of the occupied 12 are, left to right, Bill Talbott, Steve Gilkey (back to camera), and Mayor Kent Harris. New hangars are a part of the airport upgrading program.
