LHS Student Council hosts extremely successful food drive

Photo for Lamar Democrat by Melissa Fanning Lamar High School’s Student Council recently hosted a canned food drive. The donating began on Monday, Nov. 14 and ended the following Friday. The goal was for the students to reach at least 2,000 non-perishable items throughout the entire high school. That goal was exceeded, with the final count being over 3,600 non-perishable items. All of the cans are to be sent to the Good Samaritan and other local organizations who are in need.
