Rotary features McFadden's Guatemalan mission trip

Lamar Democrat/Melissa Little Lonnie and Cindy McFadden were the guest speakers at Lamar Rotary on Tuesday, Jan. 10. The McFaddens had recently made a mission trip to Guatemala City with Life of Hope Ministries. Before leaving, Lamar Rotary had donated a check to the McFaddens in the amount of $1,000. The money was used towards the purchase of dental equipment. Also brought up at the lunch meeting was the Rotary Rural/Urban luncheon to be held February 7, 12 noon, at the Lamar United Methodist Church Family Life Center. All farmers are invited and anyone planning to attend should RSVP to the University Extension office at 417-682-3579 by February 3.
