Mrs. Dorsett and her twin sister, Mary Fay, were born June 30, 1938, in Lockwood, to Charles and Mary (Burrows) Taylor. At the age of 14 she moved with her family to California. In 1966 she moved to Kansas City, Kan., where she earned certification as a C.N.A. and Med-Tech. Her kindness and skill as a nurturing caregiver blessed many through her work as a private duty nurse in the Kansas City metro area, as well as at Sharon Lanes Nursing Home and Presbyterian Manor. After moving to Vernon County in 2002, she had more time to spend in her flower garden or to crochet intricate and unique wall hangings to share with family and friends. Her door was always open and her cookie jar full in anticipation of spending time with children and grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Fairview Church in Jerico Springs.

She married Robert W. Dorsett on June 30, 1954, in San Bernardino, Calif.
