SPRINGFIELD- Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Greenlawn Funeral Home South for Alan James Keatts, 69, Springfield, who died Friday, April 7, 2017. Burial will be at 1 p.m. in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Shriners Hospital or American Cancer Society.

Survivors include his mother, Willie Dale Keatts; his wife of 35 years, Rhonda Keatts; three brothers and their spouses, Wayne and Jean Keatts, Max and Vickie Keatts and Leroy and Joyce Keatts and his sister and her spouse, Linda and Ron Ward. He is also survived by his children, Matthew Keatts, Lacey Davenport and Ashley Newman; five grandchildren, Austin, Skyler, Elias, Cheyanne and Brady and two great-grandchildren. Other survivors include several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, James H. Keatts.

Mr. Keatts was born Jan. 14, 1948, in Monett. He was a U.S. Army veteran and upon retirement from the military on Sept. 30, 1994, he drove a school bus for the Springfield Public School System. He retired after 14 years of service. He was a member of the Free Masons and Shriners. He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his family.

He married Rhonda Hoggatt on Jan. 16, 1982.
