LINDA GANT SMITH

LAMAR- Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Daniel Funeral Home for Linda Sue Gant Smith, 70, Lamar, who died Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Truman Healthcare Center, after a long illness. A private family burial will be in Collins Cemetery.

Survivors include a son, Charles F. Smith; a stepdaughter, Tuesday Carroll and two grandchildren, Charles F. Smith, Jr. and Kamron Smith.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Arthur Smith; her second husband, Marvin E. Gant; a brother, John Tindill; two sisters, Judy Tindill and June Scott and a stepson, Ernie Smith.

Mrs. Smith was born July 31, 1946, in Lockwood, to John Laytham and Ruby May (Gibson) Tindill. After graduating high school she furthered her education in nursing. She was a homemaker, a devout Christian who enjoyed helping others and was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed writing and fishing.
